Rethinking the Unknown

Beauty in the unseen

It’s that time of year again when the visual changes of everything comes and along with it so do emotions. Changes and emotions are both inevitable and our humanness always seems to navigate to the negative side of things. But what if there was more to it than we could visibly see? What if we chose to look at the positive side even if it was a thread. What would that mean? What would that look like? What would that feel like? Holding on to a sliver of hope is better than letting go right? Even in the forest there are amazing things taking place, but we just cannot see them because we are so focused on the unfamiliar sounds of the unknown. But what if beauty is formed in the unknown and strength is birthed in the impossibilities of life? Would that change how we look at things? Sometimes if you want to experience something new you must be willing to do things you have never done! You will never become the person you want to be by continuing to be the person you currently are. Are you getting the picture now? We cannot live in fear of the unknown or of being hurt because it will cause us to miss the simplest yet extraordinary things in life. The answer in how to do this lies within YOU! You have the power within to make changes! I am not saying you have the power to change what has happened to you or to change other people, but you can make the change within yourself. Positive thinking is a shift you choose to make in your lifestyle and at times may feel uncomfortable, but it brings growth. If we do not allow growth, then we will stay exactly where we are for the rest of our lives! You can start by having positive thoughts instead of the usual negative ones. For example, you are not responsible for someone else’s actions and attitudes towards what you say or do. When you are standing up for yourself and doing what is in the best interest for you and your mental health then it doesn’t matter what others think. What matters is what you think. Trust in yourself to focus on something around you that is positive, no matter how small it is. You will notice more and more of the good things in and around you and that starts your new journey towards a life filled with hope and peace.
